This is the Home Page for all 1971 Houston Sterling Raiders!
This web page was created in February 2001 and it has never missed a single day!
(All alumni and faculty who attended between 1965-1973 are invited here also!)
As we continue our journey down the roads we have chosen, we sometimes discover that a
classmate or teacher has departed our world. To provide all alumni with an opportunity to stay informed,
the website will provide a special page in honor and memory of those who walked the halls of our unique school.
Each page created in their memory will remain online for a period of 90 days so that their accomplishments
can be shared with all their friends.
If you want your e-mail address available to all alumni who visit this Web Page, it may be listed in the
Raiders Online E-Mail Directory. Click on the link in the left margin to get the requirements.
This Web Page and the e-mail correspondence required to maintain its' current state is only possible through
many hours of consistent work and updating. In order to ensure that you are always on the list for periodic
messages, your contact information should be sent to the e-mail address below. Your personal information
will never be shared or sent anywhere. As a professional database administrator,
your information will be safeguarded as much as possible.
PLEASE send all contact information updates via e-mail to: paullareau@yahoo.com
I typically read that e-mail about 5 times a week at minimum...but sometimes as much as 3 times a day on weekends.
This will provide me with a message to update the database.
*Please contact me if you can HELP with the following required resources:
If any of the alumni knows how to obtain Miramar Yearbooks from 1966, 1967, 1968, 1972, or 1973,
the webmaster could make good use of the Miramar yearbooks to assist in the continuous information
needed on the web site.
If anyone ever comes across these yearbooks in electronic format, these would also be useful as well.
Electronic (digital) yearbooks are becoming very popular in recent years. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Effective September 2016, I have enhanced the Raiders Online Directory webpage to draw attention
to some of the e-mail addresses which need to be verified as operational due to the high frequency
of "bounced" or "rejected" responses to outgoing e-mail messages. I spend numerous hours trying
to ensure that all alumni can have a very reliable resource of information so that each alumni member
can reminesce in some of the memories of their days at Ross Sterling High School.
I hope it is not too much to ask all the alumni members who are listed in the directory to send me a
very simple e-mail for verification purposes about every six months. Addresses which do not have verification
will eventually and initially have a RED flag in the DATE field that has been added for the "Last Contact Date".
Addresses that are not verified over a greater time frame will also have the e-mail address flagged in RED.
The reason may be that your mail server has REJECTED my e-mail or that your e-mail address may be obsolete.
If you discover that an entry on your line has a RED FLAG, please e-mail the Webmaster ASAP so the flag can
be removed and the entry turned back to BLUE. If you see one of your friend's entry that has a RED FLAG,
please contact them and ask them to send me an e-mail requesting additional information.
To facilitate the ability for me to expedite the updates in my maintenance logs, please use the following
simple recommendation which should take no more than one minute and to also "keep it simple":
Please send me a verification message from your own e-mail with the
DATE, your NAME and CLASS YEAR such as "Class of '71", your E-MAIL ADDRESS, and CONTACT NUMBER.
Include the year of your graduating class so that the database may be kept in an organized format.
If you have some extra time, please send e-mail with the names of all alumni you still correspond with.
To ensure your contact information is received and updated, a confirmation message should be
expected in your inbox messages.
As we continue through life, please remember that I encourage everyone to add a personal note
along with their verification if possible. I am interested in maintaining a good rapport with everyone
and the more frequently that I receive your friendly messages, the more likely I am to discover
things that I can treasure as well.
Thank you for your part in making this web page and all future reunions a success!
